This 3D animation shows an inner tube on a scale. The tube is filled with air, and the scale registers its weight. An inaccurate registration, of course, giving us the possibility of metaphorical interpretations. They lift the work above the level of a mere joke.
What metaphors can we think of? A windbag, lots of ‘air’, what is his/her relevant weight? We now enjoy air in which a virus circulates, and masks literally take our breath away. We are a society under pressure. Rising temperatures, heat waves ad forest fires that choke us: man’s environmental footprint…
