This work of art was inspired by the wells that one used to see near old farmhouses: an open concrete ring, filled with water. Those wells were quite dangerous; people would fall in, often with dramatic consequences.
Falling into the ‘Well of Human Metamorphoses’ is not a healthy experience, either. During a never-ending crash the individual’s age and gender are constantly transformed.
Today the old wells are almost gone, but metamorphoses of age and gender are omnipresent.
